Wordout

Wordout is a free, open-source Wordle-style word puzzle game. Guess one word or challenge yourself with up to 8 simultaneously. No ads, no sign-in, no server.

HOW TO PLAY

Guess the hidden 5-letter word in 6 tries. Each guess must be a valid word. After each guess, the tiles reveal how close you are:

🟩 Green — right letter, right position

🟨 Yellow — right letter, wrong position

⬛ Grey — letter not in the word

New? An animated tutorial walks you through your first game automatically.

DAILY WORD

One new word every day, the same for everyone, but now in three difficulties. Win Easy to unlock Hard. Win Hard to unlock Extreme. Each difficulty uses a different word and tracks its own streak. Come back daily and chase all three.

No server picks the daily words. They're derived from the date using a deterministic hash. Same formula, same day, same words, for everyone.

MULTI-BOARD MODE

Use the ◄ ► arrows or swipe left/right to switch between board counts:

Wordout classic: single board, 6 guesses

2-out:  2 words, 7 guesses

3-out:  3 words, 8 guesses

4-out:  4 words, 9 guesses

6-out:  6 words, 11 guesses

8-out:  8 words, 13 guesses

Every guess applies to all boards at once. The indicator row shows your progress across all boards at a glance.

DIFFICULTY

🐣 Easy: no restrictions

💪 Hard: revealed hints must be used in all future guesses

💀 Extreme: fewer guesses, more pressure
